How did this all begin? Great question.

​It started with friends, a few demijohns, and a passion that refused to stay small. Those early small-batch experiments were more than just winemaking—they were gatherings filled with laughter, shared meals, and the joy of creating something together. As skill and curiosity grew, so did the batches, moving from demijohns to barrels, and eventually into what would become Quiet Corner Winery.

I’ve always believed great wine is like a great meal—it brings people together. For years, I’ve loved pairing food and wine for friends, crafting experiences that linger long after the last glass is poured. Winemaking gives me that same creative satisfaction: the chance to take quality fruit, nurture it, and transform it into something worth sharing. The beauty of wine is that no two winemakers create the same bottle, even from the same grapes. Each carries a personal touch—a reflection of style and intention—and that individuality is what makes every pour unique.

This year, I launched five new wines: three crisp whites, a refreshing rosé, and an elegant Malbec aged 24 months. Our Woodhill Sauvignon Blanc has already earned a Silver Medal at the Big E Wine Competition and a Bronze Medal at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition, while our Tekton Malbec earned a Bronze at the Big E, showcasing the care behind every bottle.

Throughout the season, i’ve introduced bold reds crafted from Chilean and South African grapes, sourced from world-class vineyards. From Chile: Andes Daydream Cabernet Sauvignon and The Unknown Carménère; from South Africa: the expressive Capsize Pinotage and refined Voyager Cabernet Sauvignon. Each wine brings a distinct regional character, adding depth and variety to the Quiet Corner Winery lineup. Looking ahead, i’ll continue unveiling new varietals to keep every visit exciting.
