About Quiet Corner Winery:

Bringing the World to Your Glass

Our Story: From Demijohns to Global Curation

It started with a few friends, a handful of demijohns, and a passion that refused to stay small. Those early small-batch experiments were more than just winemaking—they were gatherings filled with laughter, shared meals, and the creative joy of building something together.

As my curiosity grew, the batches moved from demijohns to barrels and eventually transformed into what is now Quiet Corner Winery, nestled on a historic 18th-century horse farm in Hampton, Connecticut.

The "Unbound" Winemaker: A Maverick Approach

People often ask, "Where are the vines?". My answer is simple: I’m not tied to one vineyard—I’m tied to the world.

I’ve always believed that great wine is like a great meal—it requires the finest ingredients, sourced with intention. By choosing not to grow my own grapes on-site, I have the creative freedom to select world-class fruit from regions with deep histories and bold personalities. Whether it’s a robust Malbec from Chile, a smoky Pinotage from South Africa, or a refined white from Italy or California, I bring the best of the global harvest home to our cellar.

The Craft of the "Quiet Corner"

While the vines around the world rest, the real work begins here in our production area. This is the season of intention and patience.

  • The Art of the Decision: Great winemaking is constant. I spend my winters at the tasting bench—surrounded by the sound of classic rock and splashing wine—making the thousand small decisions that define a bottle.

  • Small-Batch Intention: We don’t follow formulas; we follow the fruit. Each batch is small so I can taste and adjust as we go, ensuring every pour reflects a unique regional character.

  • Personal & Honest: I make wines that feel like conversations and pair beautifully with the foods I love to eat—balanced, honest, and deeply personal.

Award-Winning Excellence

Our commitment to this "Global Guration, Local Craft" approach has already earned recognition at respected competitions.

  • Woodhill Sauvignon Blanc: Silver Medal (Big E) and Bronze Medal (Finger Lakes International).

  • Tekton Malbec: Bronze Medal (Big E).

  • The Unknown: Silver Medal (American Wine Society).
